The official Hindi remake of the 2013 psychological horror film Oculus is set to release in cinemas.
A special screening of Dobaara was held with Oculus producer Trevor Macy and director Mike Flanagan in Los Angeles.
Also present at the screening were director of Dobaara, Prawaal Raman, debutant actress Madalina Bellariu Ion.
A source revealed, “Mike has recommended everyone who has seen Oculus to go see Dobaara as it provides a fresh take of the film with added elements.
"He’s very pleased with the production and sound and casting of the film. He’s also happy and hopes to see and be a part of further such collaborations between Hollywood and Hindi Films Industry in the future.”
This would be the first time in Hindi film history that a Hollywood remake was officially screened for the original creators.
Directed by Prawaal Raman, Dobaara stars Adil Hussain, Lisa Ray, Huma Qureshi, Saqib Saleem and Rhea Chakraborty.
