Leading designer Neeta Lulla has said it is difficult to style for period drama such as the upcoming Mohenjo Daro.

The designer, teamed up with director Ashutosh Gowariker for his Hrithik Roshan-starrer Mohenjo Daro, has earlier styled Hrithik Roshan for Jodha Akbar as well While making period films like Mohenjo Daro, small details such as the sets and costume designing plays a pivotal role.

Neeta Lulla said, “One has to be careful while styling for period films as one has to strike the right balance between the genuineness of that era and the latest fashion trends.

"The script and research material was given to us. We had to work accordingly on the costumes.

"It’s an epic film and we had to create a world and vision that the director wanted.

"The most challenging part is that there is no visual reference available from that era. We had to keep in mind that the costume should look like it’s from that era and also keep in mind today’s audience as they are going to watch the film.”

Mohenjo Daro is set in the Indus Valley civilisation. The epic adventure-drama is set to release on 12th August 2016.
