Bol Bachchan passes 100 Crore mark

After landmark films like Golmaal 3 and Singham, which earned blockbuster status by entering the 100 Crore league, Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty's comic caper Bol Bachchan has crossed the much coveted 100 Crore mark.

The masala entertainer, which opened to staggering collection figures of Rs 43.10cr net in India, in the opening weekend, maintained its steady collections over the box office even into the third week.

The action-comedy flick collected a massive Rs. 66.81cr in its first week and Rs.24.12cr in week two.

Presented by Fox Star Studios and produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms and Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision, the Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Prachi Desai starrer features the perfect combination of action, comedy and dhamaal entertainment, which has been very well received by both multiplexes and single screen audiences.

Even in week three, the movie continued a strong run at both multiplexes and single screens despite the release of one of this year’s biggest Hollywood movies, The Dark Knight Rises.

Bol Bachchan has in all amassed a whopping Rs 9.33cr in week three, taking the total box office collections to Rs.100.26cr net, all India theatrical in 20 days with 2,700 prints.

In overseas territories, the movie has done exceptionally well and maintained rock solid collections even in its third week, collecting a total of 4.4 million USD (25.4cr) thrashing all competition from other releases.

The excitement of fans and the industry is at an all-new high as Bol Bachchan celebrates its well-deserved success.
