A Bollywood spectacular is coming to Leicester next month at the Platinum Suite, all in aid of development charity Sightsavers International.
Honey's Dance Academy, the first British Asian Dance Academy in the country, is coming together with musicians from India who will be singing Bollywood songs from Hindi Films to entertain guests at the charity dinner and dance party on 28th November.
Funds raised from collections and the raffle on the night will help support Sightsavers life changing work in developing countries, including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The charity works with partners to prevent and cure blindness, and support those who are visually impaired in some of the poorest and least-served communities.
Russell Richards, Sightsavers Community Groups Manager said: "Sightsavers is delighted that the Asian community in Leicester is coming together again to support our work by organising this fantastic evening.
Following on from the successful dinner dance in 2007 which raised over £1,000 for Sightsavers we are really excited that it is happening again."
The Dinner Dance, being organised by Salim Mulji, is being held at The Platinum Suite, Cobden Street in Leicester on Saturday 28th November at 7pm.
Tickets cost £15 each, which includes an Asian-themed buffet dinner and the evening's entertainment. Tickets are available online at www.platinumsuite.co.uk or from Gaffar Packaging, Gani's Hairstylist, Duka Ya Tambu, Oadby Grocers and the Radias Superstore in Leicester. For those wanting to get some practice in before the night, Honey's Dance Academy are holding an 'Open Afternoon'
of dance classes at The Platinum Suite at 2pm on 28th November.
