Glasgow’s George Square is set to play host to it’s first ever Diwali spectacle this November.
The cities first ever ‘Diwali at the Square’ will see George Square come to life with the help of confirmed hosts, B4U music’s very own Salil and Khushboo, showcasing acts and activities for all the family.
Lebara mobile are supporting the event.

Lebara who also sponsored the Glasgow MOBO Awards 2009 aim is to provide high-quality low-cost international mobile services, for diverse communities and migrant workers, and are ranked as the UK’s fourth fastest growing business in the Sunday Times Fast Track Listing.
The event is being run by Oceanic Consulting who are partnering with international charity Sightsavers, which will be an opportunity for people to gain insight into the work of the charity, and the chance to win two tickets to India courtesy of Fly Kingfisher to raise funds.
Tehmeema Latif, Campaign executive for Oceanic Consulting believes ‘People across all cultures should be able to experience Diwali, hence the reasoning for bringing it to Scotland’s most multi cultural city. People can come and enjoy variety of entertainment including traditional music and dance, stalls for all the family to enjoy including lantern building, and witness George square come to life with the festival of lights’’.
