Why is Ranbir Kapoor in dreadlocks in this film?.

Presumably because he’s playing a rockstar - but there’s nary a reggae song in the whole flick, so what gives?

Ranbir Kapoor wants to be a rockstar but it’s not happening for him.

A well wisher tells him that he has to fall in love and then have his heart broken – only then will the music become better.

To this end, Ranbir befriends Heer (Nargis Fakhri).

The two strike an unconventional friendship and spend their days together in reckless abandonment.

Then Heer leaves and Rasta Ranbir continues with his regular life. He gives up music and joins the family business. The end.
