Stars turn out for Aazaan premiere

Arif Asif reports from the world premiere of Sachin Joshi's debut movie, Aazaan.

The film stars the entrepreneur turned actor Sachin Joshi in the lead role and he is supported by south african Playboy model Candice Boucher.

Fans turned up in their masses to the grand cineplex in Dubai to catch a little peak of the stars on the red carpet and they weren't disappointed as the cast of the film were supported by bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat, Sohail Khan, Urvashi Sharma and Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar.

Talking on the red carpet Mallika told Asian Image that she had made the trip to Dubai to support Sachin, who is a good friend of hers and she hoped that the film would do well at the box office for him.

When asked about his views on the film, Sohail Khan said, "the promos are looking good and the music is also nice. My best wishes are with him (sachin)," Urvashi Sharma also gave her best wishes for the film.

At the end of the screening there was a great sense of achievement visible in the body language of all the cast and the crowds' reaction was no different.

A local from Dubai attending the event told us that the film was fantastic and the action was top class.

'Aazaan' is a story of an agent (Sachin Joshi) working for RAW (India's Research & Analysis Wing) with a mixed lineage of Afghan and Indian parents.

As part of his duties, Joshi gets drawn into the murky world of espionage only to find his younger brother a suspected terrorist.

Torn between his love for his country and his brother, Aazaan embarks on a mission to uncover a plot that threatens millions. It is a fast paced story of one's determination to save his country against all odds.

The premiere of the film may had finished but the excitement of it had not as the cast and the guests headed to the Armani Club at the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world) for an exclusive after party.
