Manjit in 'Luck be a Lady'

British Asian model and artist Manjit is appearing in 'Luck be a Lady' for CÎROC.

The makers of CÎROC Ultra Premium and Sean 'Diddy' Combs present the short 3 minute film.

'Luck be a Lady' featuring Eva Pigford (American's Next Top Model), Matt Goss (Bros), Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill), Michael K. Williams (Boardwalk Empire), Jesse Williams (Grey's Anatomy), Dania Ramirez (Entourage), Frank Vincent (Good Fellas) and Indian model and singer-songwriter Manjit.

Manjit was asked to appear in the 'Rat Pack' inspired short film for CÎROC Vodka by Diddy's manager.

she said, "I’ve known Puff (Diddy) through mutual friends for about 12 years and for the film they wanted someone who was in music to play a DJ instead of just a model.

"James Cruz (Diddy's Manager) thought of me and Puff agreed so they called me up the night before! Eight hours later I was on a plane from New York to Las Vegas."

The British Asian beauty can be seen in a sparkly gold dress having fun in Vegas alongside a number of well-known of actors, artists and models.

Originally from Birmingham, UK, Manjit is a self-taught singer-songwriter and producer who draws inspiration from life itself and is influenced by soulful legends such as Stevie Wonder, Sade, Desree, India Arie and Anita Baker.

Manjit studied fashion in London before moving to New York to pursue a career in fashion and to further develop her unique sound and music.

Her credits include various modeling assignments, presenting for Desi Hits, featuring in the first issue of Indian Vogue (Maidens In Manhattan) and performing at several high profile events for acclaimed music, businesses, fashion companies and celebrities such as Russell Simmons, Deepak Chopra, Christy Turlington, Microsoft and The Bollywood Awards.

Manjit also had the pleasure of working with Stuart Matthewman of Sade to promote his ‘Cottonbelly’ album, on which she is also a featured artist.
