Dear Massi, Me and my brothers used to love watching Hindi movies and this went on for years and years.
However after the Mumbai attacks, they suddenly stopped watching indian movies and now they only watch English movies.
I asked them for the reason but there is no valid reason. There have become racist. I don't know what to do. Z.
Massi says, It sounds like your brothers have been affected quite a lot by the wave of anti-Indian sentiment that seems to be running high amongst some communities.
We need to be able to rise above these things and consider people at their very basic as human beings and to look past barriers of nation and religion which although are very important and make us who we are we should not forget that we are humans and should be offended when one human takes the life of another human in the name of whatever.
Murder in any form is unjustified and whilst I appreciate that your brothers are proud of their heritage and religion we cannot forget that Pakistanis and Indians share a very common language and some very similar values of family and traditional values.
It is sad that your brothers have decided to boycott all things Indian but perhaps you can speak with them and explain that it is not so much the films that you miss but the time spent with them doing something which you all enjoyed.
I am sure given time that your brothers will see that they have no reason to hate a nation for the faults of a few.
