Dear Massi, I have a big probelm - I am deeply in love with a married man.

We were a couple before he got married and tried to stay away from each other and have tried not to stay in contact with each other but somehow we end up talking.

We got caught before he got married and there were a lot of problems but they got everything sorted.

He says he loves me too and he has problems at home with his wife but were both just really confused about what to do. Please can you help me? This is really getting me down an when I see them together I can't handle it. There is so much jealousy.

Please help me.

He is married to someone else and therefore his loyalties should lie with her.

For you to continue with any sort of relationship with him is highly unfair on his poor wife who has done nothing to deserve this.

He chose to get married to her, not you! This tells me that his feelings for you cannot be very strong otherwise your relationship would have lasted and you would have been married to him.

He sounds like a selfish man who wants to have his wife and you on the side.

He is telling you that things are not going well with his wife, if you believe that you will believe anything, this is a way for him to gain your sympathy. He needs to speak with his wife and end his marriage if he wants to be with you and only then resume a relationship with you.

Somehow I don’t think that he will be doing this and unfortunately you will find out the hard way. The best thing you can do is maintain a distance from him until he makes a decision as to what he wants but be prepared to live with the knowledge and guilt that you will have been instrumental in making an innocent person, his wife, very unhappy. Remember if he can do this with his wife then he may end up cheating on you one day too.
