Dear Massi, I found out that a friend of mine has been in love with me for a couple of years but he doesn't know I know.
I feel the same way about him but I know we can’t be together because its just not possible. I love him to a point where I know it would not work out between us.
Do I confess to him or do I save him from the pain. After all love isn't about possession. W Massi says, In this case you might have to use some 'big white lies'.
Unless you want to be with him what's the point of telling him you love him. I think you should tell him you love and care for him as a friend and leave it at that. This will allow him to move on and find someone else.
We are all individuals and have the right to make our own choices with guidance and help if needed. Possessive love is controlling and ultimately takes those choices away which is bad for everyone.
Otherwise you might want to tell him exactly how you feel. After all you did say you feel the same way. But if things don’t work out then your friendship make have to be sacrificed.
