My wife can't cook

Dear Massi, I got married and then found out my wife can’t cook.

She is a lovely person but she cooks some dire dishes. I don’t invite people round in case they find out she can’t cook.

I have not said anything because I love her. Sometimes I pretend to eat her food and then go to a takeaway later and get a kebab.

What shall I do?

FB Massi Says, You could tell her the truth? But then again she will probably give you the same advice I am going to.

Learn to cook for yourself!

That way you could surprise your wife and at the same time get some good wholesome food every night.

Otherwise my dearest you are stuck with the take-aways you deserve.

That is the most appalling advice any1 can give Massi. Marriages are based on trust an honesty. U should be able to share your feelings with your partner. You need to talk to your wife, send her to some cooking classes or get her an asian cook book. Whatever you decide, you will need to talk it out with your wife. Tell her how much you love her etc and then go onto telling her the truth about how you feel about her cooking. If she's a housewife and your the one who is the breadwinner I don't think its convenient for you to start cooking yourself. So ignore massi' bro and talk it out. Its the way you say it which will make the difference.

Both learn to cook,it can be fun. Do not get stuck in the typical role of man/women.
Best cooks are great chiefs. If you love her, tell her to learn a few more dishes, she will get the drift and say I would like this made from your hands, suggest a dish she cannot do. She will learn soon enough. If you go out and get food, then you will fo the rest of your life. Get together and talk.
