'Islamism’ voted word of the year
Islamism has been voted as the word of the year in a new poll.
Despite the year only being nine days old ‘Islamism’ which describes an obscure dangerous sounding ideology is being seen as THE word to use for all those wanting to discuss any terror related incident.
‘Islamism’ was followed closely by ‘Islamists’ and scooped top spot after its repeated use to describe those who carry out mass murder in the name of religion.
Other words such as ‘Jihadists’ and ‘Jihadism’ featured high in a poll of 205 news presenters, pundits and terror experts across the world.
Muslamic and Moslem were pushed down the list.
