Dear Massi, My husband is addicted to Indian dramas. It’s got to the point that he locks himself in the bathroom and pretends he has an upset stomach so that he has a proper reason to be on the toilet for so long.

He even sneaks his headphones in.

When I knock on the door it takes a few attempts before he answers.

Then he said he has a back problem and says it would be better for him to move into the spare room because of the mattress.
At first I felt really bad and got all these oils to give him a back massage. Then I found out he’s been staying up really late in bed binge watching dramas online.

I can’t believe he’d rather watch dramas than be in bed with me. How do I get him back?

Massi says, Many of us have changed the way in which we watch TV and what you describe as ‘binge watching’ is becoming increasingly common.

However, moving into another bedroom for the sole purpose of having undisturbed time watching programmes is excessive.
Talk to your husband and explain that you miss him and he needs to spend more time with you.

Rather than using an accusatory tone, suggest allocating time in the evening for watching TV and also for spending quality time together.
