Dear Massi, I went to mosque to pray and I got told my nails had not been cut.
I go to the mosque all the time but this one guy embarrassed me in front of everyone in the wudu area. He said I should also clean my feet. He mentioned that again another time I came.
I know I have bad feet. I try to hide them under my socks.
Ramadan is coming up and I want to go to the mosque all through the month but I am being put off now.
It has made me very self-conscious about my feet.
Massi Says, When you go to the mosque, the last thing you should be worried about is other people scrutinising your feet.
Rather than letting this man’s unsolicited advice affect you adversely, tell him firmly that you have heard his words and that any hygiene related to your feet is your concern, not his.
Attending the mosque should be a spiritual experience. and you should not be deterred because one man is inclined to be critical of your feet.
