Dear Massi, I need some advice or maybe it's help I need. I have been trying to find ways to spice up my love life.

Unfortunately it's only a one way process as the wife isn't too bothered.

Is it haram to fantasise about my mother-in-law when I'm with my wife?

I am too afraid to ask my imam in case he mentions it to someone in my family.

I need to get over this but I am having real issues in doing so.

Is this normal?

Massi Says, Some people might suggest it is not unusual to fantasise about other people when you are being intimate.

In this case it is an obvious worry.

Perhaps there is a quality in your relation that you find appealing or attractive, be it an emotional trait or a physical trait.

You have not said that you think of your mother-in-law outside of this circumstance?

I would look not to let it become too much of a hindrance to the relationship with your wife. These are after all thoughts.

When you are with your wife, try to manage your thoughts so you can replace them with something else. Try replacing them with thoughts of your wife.

Whilst you say that your wife is not receptive to spicing things up in this department, why not ask her what she enjoys to enhance your time together.

This time should be enjoyable for both of you.
