Dear Massi, My fiancé doesn't let me wear jeans in public. He says only 'bad girls' wear jeans and I should wear a jubbah all the time.
He did not have a problem when we were going out with one another but as the wedding draws closer he is making up all these rules about how I should dress.
What shall I do?
Massi says, This type of controlling behaviour is disconcerting.
It is not right that your fiance feels he can dictate what you wear.
Talk to him and explain how his rules make you feel.
Whilst a relationship encompasses compromise from both parties, you should not feel stifled in the process.
It is time to ask yourself whether you can spend the rest of your life abiding by his rules.
