Now, I’m going to let you into a sordid secret that people are brushing under the carpet.
It concerns holiday destinations that are becoming more and more popular within our community.
Let us be totally honest there are a few people going to places like Morocco so they can take part in things that they would not want people around them to find out about.
These things include guys going abroad to play around with other women in holiday resorts and dabbling in the alchohol drugs and anything else that is not permitted within Islam.
Before you start ringing me asking me for my head I say this because many family people are being put-off going to such wonderful destinations because of the stories they have heard.
It is extremely difficult for families to be able to go to the same venues and have a respectful time.
Those families that have gone come back with stories about how they saw so many ‘familiar faces’ there.
Sorry to burst your bubble boys but some of us need to make a stand and let people know what really goes on. I’ve heard of some people going alone three or four times a year!
The strangest and most worrying thing is the Muslims are choosing Muslim countries to be able to do these things.
Local communties in places like Morrocco are being torn apart because of our ‘great British Asian pound’.
Some of us put on this image within our community that butter would not melt in our mouths yet we then are at the forefront of such activity behind closed doors or just in other countries.
What we forget is God can see you in the middle of a holiday resort and in the middle of Whalley Range.
I think some in our community need to wisen up and start behaving in a manner more suited to being a Muslim and stop tarnishing the image.
This minority of people who are doing this should be ashamed of themselves.
