Another IS propaganda video and another few days of trying to convince some Muslims that the videos are real.

Every single time there are any Muslims butchering people or cutting heads off we have the same old folk coming out with the same old conspiracy theories.

A couple I heard this week revolved around the Paris gun attacks being set-ups and videos such as these being fake.

The fire in Dubai on New Year’s Eve did not result in the building collapsing but the planes that hit 9/11 did enough to destroy not one but two towers.

Passports always seem to be conveniently found whenever there is a suicide attack.

So what is real then?

To put it simply we have people who simply do not want to believe what they see. I meet them on a regular basis.

The latest video shows five men being murdered but today I was faced with trying to convince a couple of people that this was a propaganda video by the so-called Islamic State and not a video made in some studio by the allies.

Whilst the authorities are keen to crackdown on ‘radical’ speakers they are less likely to tackle those who spread such nonsense. And it is impossible to do so.

A major point of contention for the Government when it comes to extremism is not knowing exactly what is and what is not deemed extremist.

If you believe the videos fake and do not admit that these acts of violence are not taking place then what can you be classed as?

If you are Muslim I would sense you will be classed as a danger. But what about the countless non-Muslims I read about who also believe the truth is being withheld? Will they be ever classed as radicals? I sense not.

I have met intelligent well educated people who will scroll through internet sites and social media trying to disapprove the western narrative that Muslims are killing other Muslims.

There is overwhelming feeling when speaking to quite a number of Muslims that the whole charade is being played out like some Hollywood blockbuster and killings take place at ‘convenient times’.

With information available at your fingertips it is all very well I suppose in this day and age to spend time searching for the 'truth'.

But what happens when these issues are discussed in front of impressionable children?

There is almost an embarrassing silence when you bring this up because we feel almost obliged to disagree with the powers that be for the sake of it.

We like many others tend to believe what we want to believe. It is after all so much easier to do so.
