It is only a matter of time before far-right extremists target Muslims in their homes a documentary has claimed.

‘Angry, White and Proud’, follows members of far-right English Defence League (EDL) splinter groups as they demonstrate across the country.

The documentary by Jamie Roberts who spent a year following around these groups was aired on Channel Four last night.

It exposed some startling facts about how smaller groups are going further underground and may carry out ‘acts of violence’ if left unchecked.

It begins in quite shocking fashion. And if this was said of any other religion there may well have been calls for prosecution.

“It my hatred of Muslims that made this come about,” said former nightclub DJ Colin.

He adds, “I’m extremely racist against Muslims. I hate them, fucking hate them, I hate them with a fucking passion, more than I hate West Ham football club, and that’s saying something because I hate them bastards, but yeah, I hate them, hate them with a passion.. I fucking hate them.”

The footage reveals that there been a growth in splinter groups and without a central command structure authorities are unable to keep a tab on numbers and dangers posed by the individuals.

Paul, a supposed group leader and former member of the EDL reveals, “They thought by destroying the EDL that would be the end of it. Instead of one group now we got fifty right across the country.”

Colin reveals, “There is talk of a militia or a task force. Getting together finding a target and then out of the blue turning up where they are and smashing ‘em.

“I’d be happy breaking their bones.”

He sees that it is the same mindset of many terrorists who get brainwashed.

Andy sees himself as someone a self proclaimed ‘Radical Islamic extremist’ hunter. It doesn’t make any difference to him that he is part of a group who are vehemently against Islam itself and all Muslims.

There is also the notion that the battle from Afghanistan against the Taliban is being now being fought on the streets of the UK.

What about moderate Muslims Paul is asked, “I don’t think they exist. The jihadis are killing in the name of Islam. So if you are Muslim you are part of Islam.”

As with most extremists they don’t feel that they are racist in any way.

Towards the end of the documentary Colin does look to change his life but the same cannot be said of the others.

"I should have realised along time ago that all this anger and crap I was getting myself involved in was not mostly to the hatred of other people but because I don't actually like myself. Eventually we all find ourselves."
