A Muslim traffic warden said he didn’t think ‘it was morally correct’ to issue a ticket during the month of Ramadan.
Iftikhar Alam Imtiazah Butt (not his real name) said his bosses had told him it was okay not to issue any tickets between sunrise and sunset.
“I don’t think my religion will allow me to issue tickets to people which might cause them undue stress during the month of Ramadan.
"It can be a real pain getting a ticket if you are only a couple of seconds late back to your car.
“I spoke to my boss about it and he said it was fine as long as I made up for the shortfall of tickets next month.”
Iftikhar said he was not willing to reveal where he worked took advantage of his good nature during the holy month.
He also didn't want to be the butt of all jokes on some right wing news website.
