WILLIAM (BILL) BOLTON Of 6 Squirrels Close, Accrington died peacefully in Royal Blackburn Hospital after a short illness on Friday 24th March. Our family cannot thank enough the tremendous work of the doctors and nurses in the critical care unit who did all they could to make him well but sadly it was not to be. Bill leaves a loving family, his wife of 50 years Roselynn, his son Neil and daughter Joanne as well as 5 treasured grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends, particularly Delys his sister in law and his twin nieces Deborah and Paula. Also he leaves his loving nephew and niece Alan and Margaret. Bill grew up in Church and was the youngest child of Margaret and William Bolton and brother of the late Olive, Denis, Edith and Margaret. Bill worked at Lucas electical in Burnley straight out of school and worked his way up to senior methods engineer until retiring early due to ill health. He was a very active former member and Worshipful Master of Prosperity and Loyalty Mark Freemasonry Lodges where he made many life long friends. Bill had been a keen golfer in the past and a member of Great Harwood golf club. He also always remained a loyal Blackburn Rovers supporter all his life. A funeral service will be held at Immanuel Church Oswaldtwistle on Friday 31st March at 12.45pm followed by a private family cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 1.40pm and afterwards at Adelaide Suites on Adelaide Street, Accrington from 1.30pm. Family flowers only with donations to the British Heart Foundation and Critical Care Unit Royal Blackburn Hospital. Funeral directors: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road.
